Parking Permit Information

Jefferson County School District requires a parking fee of $125 per year to be assessed for a student parking permit. At Arvada High School, this fee reserves a parking space. Revenues generated are applied to the school district general fund. As an alternative to the use of a single passenger vehicle, RTD, car-pooling, cycling, or walking to school are encouraged as healthy choices to help conserve energy and reduce pollution.

Vehicles, which are not properly registered, will be subject to a fine and/or towing at anytime at the owner’s expense.

Arvada High School and Jefferson County School district are not responsible and assume no liability for vandalism, fire, accident, or damage to the vehicle, towing, or loss of the vehicle or any article left in it.

To obtain an AHS Parking Permit:

  • Print and complete the AHS Parking Contract
  • Pay the fee in the AHS Financial Office and obtain a receipt (This fee cannot be paid online through PaySchools)
  • Bring the following to AHS security:
    • Completed Parking Contract
    • Receipt for payment
    • Valid Colorado driver's license
    • Valid car registration
    • Proof of insurance
