Courses Offered:

Chorale:

This is our top performing vocal group at Arvada High School. We proudly present a variety of the best in formal choral music from across the musical spectrum. As an honors class, this choir requires an audition and permission of the instructor. Voices are evenly balanced (men and women), and a formal uniform is required (provided).

Modernaires:

A dancing and singing group, Modernaires calls for the highest commitment and expertise. Formal outfits are requried, and must be paid for by the student. Co-registration in Chorale, extra time investment, and balanced men and women are fundamental to this class.

Choraliers:

Open to women only, this select group explores literature that is especially voiced for female singers. Dancing, a formal outfit (paid for by the student), and a high degree of commitment and expretise is required. Co-registration in Chorale and extra time are also a fundamental part of this class.

Chantelles:

Our largest women's show choir. Girls in this group are expected to perform at a very high level of expertise, and will be wearing a formal costume (paid for by the student). Extra time and commitment is required.

Journeymen:

An introductory men's chorus, open to any guy with a pulse. Serious musical skills will be studied along with exploring the kind of literature that only a men's chorus would dare to sing, as well as more traditional literature, including barbershop.

Vocal Music Boosters:

The Vocal Music Boosters is a group of parents and students who work to support the Vocal Music program at Arvada High School.  Meetings are held in the Choir Room at 6:30 pm. All parents and students are welcome to attend. We value your input, and have regular meetings for planning and coordinating volunteers.
