Registration: Registration will be completed online at this link.

Cost: $125 per 1/2 credit class.

Classes Begin: Tuesday, May 26, 2020. 9 a.m.

Choices of enrollment: should be based on your transcript and a meeting with your counselor from your respective high school. 

  • Daily participation is mandatory.
  • You are allowed one absence before being unenrolled.  
  • Students may only take one course at a time. 
  • In order to take a second class, you must be done with your first class by June 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.


Classes End: Wednesday June 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.   

  • Cumulative Exam must be OPENED by 11:00 a.m. on or before June 5, 2020. 
  • Edgenuity course must be completed by June 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. 
  • Students that do not finish their course work before the end of Summer School will be deleted from the system and not receive any credit. 
  • No extensions will be given.


To maintain enrollment: 

  • Students must participate in classes daily until finished. 
  • Students must work outside of class on a daily basis
  • Students must complete the course with a passing grade (60% and above) to recover credit. 
  • If a student misses more than one class, they will be unenrolled.


Rules of Engagement for Arvada Summer School:

  • You must have an “F” or an “NC” on your transcript in order to be eligible to enroll in the course you select. 
  • Only one course is allowed at a time. 
  • You will not be able to enroll in another course after the midterm date of June 1, 2020.
  • Payment has been made for any additional course before the course will be opened. 
  • A completion grade of A - D (100%-60%) will earn credit.


  • Students are required to participate in courses from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Students must attend class daily until finished. 
  • Students are expected to be actively working on class at all times.



  • Your behavior and language must be in accordance with the Jefferson County Public Schools Conduct Code Handbook. 
  • Arvada Summer School reserves the right to refuse enrollment to any student due to behavior that can be construed as violent or threaten the safety of any student/staff.


Additional Information:

  • The credit recovery courses offered during summer school are not approved for NCAA requirements. 
  • No refunds will be given.
  • IEP or 504 Accommodations are NOT provided during summer school.  If you need additional support, you are responsible for acquiring that support at your own cost.
